Ridgemont’s Triple Crown winning stallion Malmoos came up with his fourth winner since last Saturday when his gelded son Omkhulu Boss won at Hollywoodbets Scottsville on Sunday.
In the process, Omkhulu Boss became the eighth first-crop winner for his sire.

Trained by Glen Kotzen, two-year-old Omkhulu Boss came into Sunday’s Gallop TV Juvenile Plate (1100m) off a second place finish over 1200m.
He duly made amends with a fluent performance at Hollywoodbets Scottsville
Under Chad Little, Omkhulu Boss stormed home to get up and shed his maiden by over a length and a quarter.

Bred by Millstream Farm, Sunday’s winner races for Gary Player and Dave MacLean.
Omkhulu Boss, who is out of the Frankel mare Risk Taker, was a R400 000 buy from the 2025 March Yearling Sale.

He joins unbeaten Listed East Cape Fillies Nursery/Listed Lady’s Slipper Stakes winner Marchland and the likes of Within Reason, Life In Colour, Malibu Ice, Kovil, and Trojan Horse as early first crop winners for Malmoos.
One of the best sons of champion sire Captain Al, Malmoos has seven lots on offer at the August Two Year Old Sale.
