The Black Swan Stud based champion Elusive Fort had an excellent season in 2019-2020, with his flagbearers including G1 SA Derby winner Outofyourleague, stakes winners Chitengo and Elusive Trader and Klawervlei Farm Sale Graduate Race winner Kommetdieding.

The triple G1 winning son of Fort Wood has also made a pleasing start to the current season, and Elusive Fort came up with another smart looking sort when his daughter Maid In France made a winning debut on Wednesday.
The 3yo Maid In France powered home, under Anthandiwe Mgudlwa, down the outside of the Hollywoodbets Greyville track to get up and post a neck debut win over 1100m on Wednesday.
Maid In France, who is trained by Mark Dixon, was bred by James Armitage.
The filly, who is out of the Goldkeeper mare Joan Of Arc, was a R140 000 buy from the 2019 Emperors Palace National Yearling Sale.
Her sire Elusive Fort has already sired some top-class fillies notably G1 winners Siren’s Call and Lauderdale, R2 000 000 plus earner Safe Harbour and multiple graded stakes winner Fort Ember.
