Riethuiskraal Stud’s dual G1 winning stallion Erupt enjoyed graded stakes success on Saturday.
Erupt’s progressive son Isivivane picked up his biggest win to date when he won the G3 World Sports Betting 1900 (1900m) at Hollywoodbets Greyville on Saturday.
The Peter Muscutt trained four-year-old benefitted from a well timed ride from Sean Veale.
Isiviviane powered home down the inside of the track and got up to win the WSB 1900 by just over half a length, from a fast finishing Regulation.
Bred by Narrow Creek Stud, Isiviviane has won five of 15 starts, with the gelding having finished runner up in the 2025 Listed Christmas Handicap.
The Erupt gelding, who is out of the Casey Tibbs mare Rodeo Sioux, is owned by Hollywood Racing.
Isiviviane, who looks set to take his place in the upcoming G1 Hollywoodbets Durban July, was a R450 000 buy from the 2023 Cape Premier Yearling Sale.
His sire Erupt had gone close to enjoying more feature race success when his son Shoot The Rapids ran second in the recent Listed TAB Gold Bowl, while Erupt’s two-year-old son Magma Flow ran third in the G3 Winter Nursery.
