World Sports Betting East Cape Derby success for Master Of My Fate

8th May 2026

Varsfontein Stud’s top-class homebred sire Master Of My Fate is the sire of star filly Anotherdanceforme.
The latter maintained her unbeaten record in the Eastern Cape when romping home to a brilliant win in the Listed World Sports Betting East Cape Derby (2200m) at Fairview on Friday.

In the process, Anotherdanceforme picked up the sixth black type win of her career. She is not the first Master Of My Fate filly to win the East Cape Derby, with her paternal half-sister American Princess having won the same race back in 2020. Another Master Of My Fate filly, Joy And Peace, won the East Cape Derby back in 2024.

Trained by Alan Greeff, three-year-old Anotherdanceforme turned Friday’s R350 000 feature (moved to the poly after inclement weather) into a one-horse race.
Under a supremely confident ride from Richard Fourie, the daughter of Master Of My Fate stormed home from off the pace to go away and win as she liked by seven and a quarter lengths.

Bred by Varsfontein Stud, Anotherdanceforme has won 10 of 11 starts, with her wins including the 2025 G2 SplashOut Golden Slipper.
Anotherdanceforme, who is out of the What A Winter mare Destiny Dancer, is owned by Peter Moor.

Master Of My Fate, the sire of six G1 winners to date, is enjoying another fine season in 2025-2026.
At the time of writing, the son of Jet Master was fourth on the South African General Sires premiership.
