Feature race win highlights Master Of My Fate treble

7th January 2019

Jet Master’s well performed son Master Of My Fate, South Africa’s Leading First Crop Sire by winners in 2017-2018, has made the perfect start to 2019, with Master Of My Fate responsible for a trio of winners over the past weekend.

Twist Of Fate

Master Of My Fate’s most recent treble was highlighted by an impressive feature race win by his son Twist Of Fate.

The latter, who was bred by the Favour Stud, made it win number five when defying top weight of 61kgs to land Saturday’s G3 BMW Politician Stakes over 1800m at Kenilworth on Saturday.

Twist Of Fate, who was his sire’s first winner, first stakes winner and first graded stakes winner, picked up the third feature race win of his 11 race career when he landed the R250 000 Politician Stakes by two and a quarter lengths from the promising pair of Senatla and Belgarion.
The Joey Ramsden trained colt had previously won the Listed Somerset 1200 (at two), and more recently the G3 Cape Classic, with Twist Of Fate having finished second in the G1 Cape Guineas at his most recent  outing.

Out of a mare by Counter Action, Twist Of Fate’s impressive Politician win took his earnings to R837 850.

His sire also enjoyed success at Kenilworth on Friday when his 3yo daughter Indi Anna broke her maiden over 1600m for trainer Brett Crawford and jockey Corne Orffer. That consistent Klipdrif Stud bred filly has now won or placed in three of her four starts to date.

Master Of My Fate

Master Of My Fate was also responsible for a KZN winner on Saturday with his son Triple Fate Line romping home to win his first race by 1.7 lengths over 1200m at Greyville. The Robbie/Shannon Hill trained colt was bred by Varsfontein Stud.

Out of the Equus Champion Promisefrommyheart, Master Of My Fate has had just two 2yo runners this season thus far but they include impressive debut winner Basadi Faith.

The G2 Premier Trophy/G2 Peninsula Handicap winning sire has five yearlings on this month’s Cape Premier Yearling Sale.
