Cheveley Stud’s homebred Horse Of The Year Legislate looks to have sired a real champion in the form of Wish List.
The latter overcame a muddling pace to make it four graded wins in a row when she won the G2 Lucky Fish Woolavington 2000 (2000m) at Hollywoodbets Greyville on Saturday.

Trained, like her sire, by Justin Snaith, three-year-old Wish List was all the rage for Saturday’s R500 000 contest but had to dig deep to win.
Racing well off a slowish pace, Andrew Fortune forced Wish List up in the final stages to touch off runner up Minogue and win by a short-head.

Bred by Maine Chance Farms, the daughter of Legislate races for Jonathan Bloch and Nancy Hossack.

Out of Silvano’s G2 SA Oaks winning daughter Wind Chill, Wish List was a R700 000 buy from the 2024 National Yearling Sale.

Saturday’s winner came into the Woolavington 2000 having won all of the G1 Cartier Paddock Stakes, G1 Lucky Fish Cape Derby and G2 World Sports Betting Fillies Guineas.
To date, Wish List has won five of ten starts and looks likely to be crowned Equus Champion 3YO Filly for 2025-2026.

Lot 88 -a filly bred on similar lines to the Dynasty sired G1 Cape Guineas winner and successful sire Act Of War

Lot 178 -a filly whose dam is a half-sister to G1 Cape Guineas winner Elusive Gold
