Maine Chance Farms’ top-class sire Querari has had another good week, with the Oasis Dream horse supplying a quartet of winners over Wednesday and Thursday.

Querari’s first two winners during this period came when his daughter Freedom’s Fire and son Duran scored at Hollywoodbets Greyville on Wednesday, before the G1 Premio Presidente della Repubblica followed up with another double at the Vaal the following day.

Querari’s lightning fast 3yo daughter Slalom Queen impressed when she made all to land a progress plate over 1000m by two and a quarter lengths on Thursday.
The Sean Tarry trained filly, runner up in last season’s G3 Strelitzia Stakes, pulled clear to win impressively under jockey Lyle Hewitson.

Bred by the Lammerskraal Stud, Slalom Queen has now won twice from eight starts, with her four placings also including a third in the Listed TAB Storm Bird Stakes.

Her sire’s second success on Thursday came when the St John Gray owned and trained filly Persica landed the eighth race on the card. Bred by the Guillaume Stud, Persica made it win number four on Thursday, when scoring a one length win over 1200 metres.

The sire of over 40 stakes winners, and the country’s Leading Sire of 2YOs in 2018-2019, Querari has nine lots on the upcoming Emperors Palace National 2YO Sale, and a further 11 lots on the CTS Ready To Run, Unbroken 2 Year Old & Mixed Sale.
