Fourth winner for Real Gone Kid

9th April 2026

Ridgemont’s promising young stallion Real Gone Kid came up with a fourth first-crop winner on Thursday.
His two-year-old daughter Highway Heiress showed considerable improvement on her debut effort when she won the Racing Today Maiden Juvenile Plate (Fillies) (1600m).

Under Kobeli Lihaba, Highway Heiress stayed on strongly in the closing stages and dug down deep to get up and win by nearly half a length.
Bred by Reed Valley Stud, Thursday’s winner, who benefitted from a tongue tie on Thursday, was making just her second start on Thursday.

Owned by Mr Koekemeyer, Highway Heiress is out of the Pathfork mare Lindleys Lane.

The filly joins Master Mtoto, Lady Jean and Preacher Man as early winners for Snitzel’s well bred son Real Gone Kid.
The latter, a son of champion In The Fast Lane, is set to be represented by Lady Jean and Preacher Man in Saturday’s R3 000 000 Race Coast Sales Slipper. Real Gone Kid’s unbeaten son Master Mtoto is a likely starter in the upcoming Listed East
