Ascot Stud’s beautifully bred and well performed stallion Global View has made a very positive start to his stud career and he looks set to make more waves at the 2019 Emperors Palace National Yearling Sale.

A top class son of the world’s leading sire Galileo (already sire of top class stallions Teofilo, New Approach and Frankel), Global View won the G3 Generous Stakes at two, before going on to land the G2 American Turf Stakes as a three-year-old.
The handsome bay, whose relatives include the breed shaping stallion Storm Bird, retired to stud having banked nearly $500 000 in earnings.

Global View made an instant impression with his first yearlings going under the hammer at the 2019 Cape Premier Yearling Sale.
The Ascot Stud based sire had just three lots on offer at the Premier Sale but they made R1 300 000, R650 000 and  R325 000-a fine return for a horse whose 2018 stud fee was R20 000!

The stallion, who is bred on the same Galileo/Storm Cat cross as such multiple G1 winners as Churchill, Gleneagles, and Decorated Knight –to name but three, has a very impressive, 31 strong draft on offer at the 2019 Emperors Palace National Yearling Sale.

Ascot’s Ashley Parker, says of Global View’s yearlings, “We are really excited about the Global Views and we have 15 out of 30 Global Views on the sale,which is the most by the first season sires by a long way. Ascot has two exceptional colts by him namely – Summerdale (Lot 124) a big, strong, striking colt out of G1 winner Lauderdale, and Global Drummer (Lot 191) a powerful, strong quartered ,colt a half brother to Group 1 winner GulfStorm and Gr1 placed Seattle Singer.”

Other well bred Global View yearlings on offer at the National Sale this year include the half-sister (Lot 2) to G3 Graham Beck Stakes winner Zen Arcade, the colt (Lot 37) whose dam is a half-sister to Triple Crown winner Abashiri, the half-sister (Lot 174) to G1 Cape Fillies Guineas runner up Our Destiny, and the colt (Lot 564) whose multiple stakes winning dam is a daughter of champion sire Silvano.
