The pedigree of Ascot Stud’s promising young stallion Global View received a further boost when his close relative Call Me Harry made a winning debut at Saratoga on Sunday.

A three-year-old gelded son of Street Sense, Call Me Harry showed good early speed to chase the pace from second through splits of :21.59 and :44.54. He took a few strides to level off at the top of the lane, but once he switched leads, he took off and ran up the score to 3 3/4 lengths while breaking his maiden first time out over five and a half furlongs.
Call Me Harry is out of the unraced Bernardini mare Call Me Swift –a half-sister to Irish high-weight and stakes winner Warrior Queen –herself the dam of dual graded stakes winner A.P. Warrior.
Warrior Queen is also granddam of multiple graded stakes winner Global View, whose wins included the G2 American Turf Stakes at three, and the G3 Generous Stakes as a two-year-old.
Global View is a son of Galileo and the Storm Cat mare Egyptian Queen, and he is thus bred on the same Galileo/Storm Cat cross as one of the hottest young sires in the world –Gleneagles.
The latter, himself a champion and dual Guineas winner, has made considerable waves with his first two-year-olds this season including G2 July Stakes winner Royal Lytham and Windsor Castle Stakes winner Southern Hills.

The regally bred Global View, whose relatives also include top sires Green Tune and Storm Bird (sire of his own damsire Storm Cat), continues to prove very popular at stud.
Ascot’s Ashley Parker says of his sire,”Global View has been extremely well received at sales and he will also get a good book of probably 80 mares this year after three exceptional books -134 in his first year, 106 in his second and over 80 in his third year “
