Boland Stud have an exceptional draft on offer at the at the 2018 Emperors Palace Natonal Yearling Sale.
Boland will be offering ten lots at the National Sale, with their draft headed by youngsters by such stallions as Captain Al, Duke Of Marmalade, Master Of My Fate and Var.
One of the farm’s best yearlings is the unnamed Var col out of Monpazier (Lot 211).
Not only is the colt a son of South Africa’s reigning Champion 2YO Sire in Var, but this colt is a half-brother to promising two-year-old Runaway Gal, who broke her maiden impressively when breaking her maiden over 1200m at Greyville on Sunday for trainer Brett Crawford and owner Mario Ferreira.
Runaway Gal, bred by the Boland Stud, was a R2 000 000 buy from last year’s National Sale.
She is out of Monpazier, a winning Silvano half-sister to multiple G1 winner Captain America and G3 winner Aquitaine.
Hopefully her half-brother can follow in her footsteps at this week’s sale!
