Varsfontein Stud’s red hot champion sire Gimmethegreenlight’s tremendous run of form continued at Kenilworth on Friday, where his two-year-old daughter Pacific Green made an impressive winning debut over 1000 metres.

Trained by Justin Snaith, Pacific Green was backed down to start a well backed 5-4 tote favourite for Friday’s What A Winter Maiden Juvenile Plate (1000m).
Under a fine ride from S’Manga Khumalo, the Drakenstein Stud bred and owned filly stormed away to win by three-parts of a length.
Out of the Dynasty mare Pacific Dynasty, Pacific Green holds an entry for the Listed Summer Juvenile Stakes.
Her sire Gimmethegreenlight, South Africa’s Champion Sire of 2020-2021, is having another outstanding season in 2021-2022 with his flagbearers including recent G3 London News Stakes 1-2 finishers Second Base and Johnny Hero, and graded stakes winning fillies Follow Me and One Night In Paris.
The G1 winning son of More Than Ready has 15 lots on the 2022 Cape Premier Yearling Sale, and eight lots on the Cape Yearling Sale.
