Maine Chance Farms’ outstanding sire Vercingetorix looks to have yet another smart sort on his hands in the form of Palace Of Arvenia.
That two-year-old made the perfect start to her career when she made a winning debut at Hollywoodbets Greyville on Friday.

Trained by Dean Kannemeyer, the blue blooded Palace Of Arvenia made much of the running to land Friday’s Hollywoodbets Greyville Welcomes You Maiden Juvenile Plate (Fillies) (1200m) by nearly three lengths.

Bred by Al Adiyaat, Palace Of Arvenia races for Peter Moor and Sandy Irvine.

The filly, a full-sister to this season’s G1 HKJC World Pool SA Classic winner Grand Empire, is out of the Potala Palace mare Palace Of Dreams.

Palace Of Arvenia was a R575 000 buy from the 2025 National Yearling Sale.

She is the fourth two-year-old winner this season for her sire Vercingetorix, with the latter once again heading the South African General Sires premiership.
