Ridgemont Highlands’ resident stallion Jackson got a further update to his pedigree when his gelded relative Dance For Oro shed his maiden in the USA on Monday.
A son of Medaglia D’Oro, the Todd Beattie trained Dance For Oro stayed on gamely to win over a mile at Parx when successful over a mile.

Dance For Oro, who has now won or placed in each of his 3 starts, is out of the unraced A.P. Indy Danceinthesunlight-a mare whose previous foals included $2.9 million plus earner Moreno, whose wins included the G1 Whitney Handicap.

Danceinthesunlight’s second dam is Canadian Horse Of The Year and Broodmare Of The Year Dance Smartly, whose granddam is the outstanding mare No Class –ancestress of Jackson among numerous other high class performers.

A triple G1 winner whose scores included a thrasing of dual Horse Of The Year Variety Club in the 2012 G1 Investec Cape Derby, Jackson’s first crop of runners is headed by G1 filly Can You Feel It, G3 Cape Nursery third Mr Crumford, the smart fillies Water Spirit and Heaven’s Embrace and Zimbabwe Guineas runner up Action Jackson.

The son of deceased outstanding sire Dynasty has nine lots on offer at the 2019 National Sale, including a half-brother (Lot 58) to G1 Premier’s Champions Challenge winner Coral Fever, a filly (Lot 139) whose stakes placed dam is a half-sister to Cartier Champion and multiple G1 winner Stradivarius, and a colt (Lot 232) out of the Jallad sired G2 winner Tempted.
