Judpot colt maintains his unbeaten record

7th Mar 2020

The Vogel Vlei Stud based Judpot looks to have a very talented two-year-old to his name in the form of the unbeaten War Room.
The latter made it three wins from as many starts when running out a comprehensive winner of the Listed TAB Storm Bird Stakes (1000m) at Turffontein on Saturday to stamp himself as an exciting future prospect.

War Room, who had won his first two starts by an aggregate of more than seven lengths, maintained his unbeaten record when sweeping to a 1.25 length win in Saturday’s Storm Bird Stakes, under jockey Warren Kennedy.

Bred by the Ndoro Stud, War Room was a R120 000 buy from the 2019 Emperors Palace National Yearling Sale.

The handsome chestnut is the 14th stakes winner sired by the blueblooded Jupot, with the latter currently responsible for more than 30 stakes horses in total.

A half-brother to the breed shaping sire Kingmambo, Judpot, who is from the same female line as the hugely promising US stallion Karakontie among others, is no stranger to siring high-class two-year-olds with his previous notably juveniles headed by Equus Champion Along Came Polly, and fellow graded stakes winners Colour Of Courage, Final Judgement, and G1 Durban Golden Horseshoe winner Forest Indigo.
