Lammerskraal’s quality National Sale draft

2nd July 2020

Ceres farm, the Lammerskraal Stud, will once again be offering a high-class draft at this year’s Emperors Palace National Yearling Sale.

Lammerskraal’s draft is dominated by their successful resident sire Visionaire, who has five yearlings in the draft, while other classy sires represented include Duke Of Marmalade, Gimmethegreenlight, Master Of My Fate and the ever popular Querari.

Few yearlings have more current pedigrees than Imperious Light (Lot 204), a colt by the red-hot Gimmethegreenlight. This regally bred colt, a half-brother to G1 SA Nursery third Double Appeal, is out of G1 Woolavington 2000 winner Imperious Star, herself a daughter of Met winning champion Imperious Sue.

Persian Secret (Lot 23) is a Visionaire daughter of Listed Ruffian Stakes winner Aquila Rapax, and she is a three-parts sister to impressive recent debut winner Vivid Jet, while former Leading First Crop and Second Crop sire Visionaire is also responsible for Norton Sound (Lot 200), a half-brother to East Cape champion, and East Cape Oaks winner, Widow’s Lamp.

Ultra Quick (Lot 163) is a Querari half-brother to Ibhayi Stakes winner Fabian, while Blizzard Ahead (Lot 53) is a Visionaire half-brother to this season’s promising two-year-old Slalom Queen, and this colt is out of a speedy, stakes winning half-sister to G1 winner Viva Maria.

Jet Master’s top-class son Master Of My Fate has two lots in Lammerskraal’s draft – Fate Of Fortune (Lot 270) is a colt out of a winning own sister to stakes winners Master Mascus and Exelero, while Snowmobile (Lot 447) is out of a dual winning half-sister to champion Long Dollar (sired by Master Of My Fate’s grandsire Rakeen).

Cartier Champion Duke Of Marmalade’s sole offering in this draft is Fearless Kitty (Lot 227), a half or full sister to six winners including G3 Kings Cup winner Bulleting Home.
