Oldlands Stud’s successful resident sire Elusive Fort had a good day at Hollywoodbets Greyville on Monday.
Not only did Elusive Fort supply two winners on Monday’s card, but the champion son of Fort Wood also ranks as the broodmare sire of Blue Steel, winner of the fifth race at Hollywoodbets Greyville.
A son of Erik The Red, Blue Steel (who is out of the Elusive Fort mare Popova) has now won two of his last three starts.

Elusive Fort’s first success on Monday came when his Lola Crawford trained daughter Come Together won the first race on the card.
Bred by Big Sky Ranch, three-year-old Come Together romped home to win the Bet With Colossus Pools Exclusive On www.tote.co.za Maiden Plate (F and M) (1200m) by over a length and three quarters.
Owned by Ms F T Naicker & Mr Gavin Govender, Mr Vincent Pillay & Late Mr S R Crawford, Come Together is out of the What A Winter mare Better Together.

Elusive Fort’s second success on Monday came when his Glen Kotzen trained son Let It Roll made much of the running to claim the Live It. Love It. Own It. www.racecoast.co.za Maiden Plate (1600m).
Under Mickaelle Michel, the two-year-old kicked away strongly in the closing stages to shed his maiden by three and a half lengths.
Bred by Narrow Creek Stud, the Elusive Fort colt races for The Racing Club.
Let It Roll, who was making his third start on Monday, is out of the Red Ray mare Bethany.

Champion Elusive Fort has had another good season in 2025-2026 with his flagbearers headed by G2 Wilgerbosdrift Bridget Oppenheimer SA Oaks winner Littlemissmillion.
