Maine Chance Farms’ top-class stallion Querari has had a magnificent season in 2025-2026.
The son of Oasis Dream enjoyed more success at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth on Sunday when his son Un Bel Di won the Winter Sprint (1200m).
Under JP Van Der Merwe the Justin Snaith trained four-year-old was quickly into stride and went out to make the running.
With 200m left to go, Un Bel Di kept galloping strongly out in front, and the gelding stayed on to win by a length and a quarter.
Bred by Drakenstein Stud, Sunday’s winner races for L’Ormarins & Friends.
Un Bel Di, who has won three of 21 starts, is out of the Trippi mare One Fine Day.
His red hot sire Querari has been in tremendous form this season, with his six black type winners, who include the G1 winners Questioning and Star Major, having claimed 11 stakes races in South Africa.
South Africa’s Leading Sire of 2YOs in 2018-2019, Querari is currently third on the South African General Sires premiership.
