Monday double for Master Of My Fate

1st March 2022

Varsfontein Stud’s inform stallion Master Of My Fate’s good run of form continued at Hollywoodbets Greyville on Monday, when the imposing son of Jet Master came up with two more winners.

Master Of My Fate started Monday in style when his Andre Nel trained daughter Antico Amore justified favouritism to land Monday’s first race, the 2000th Grooms Initiative Winner By Hollywoodbets & Gold Circle Maiden Plate (F&M) over 1000 metres.

Under Keagan De Melo, the three-year-old flew up late to win by a short head.

Bred and owned by Sabine Plattner, Antico Amore was making her KZN debut on Monday, with the filly having her first start since November.

Master Of My Fate also provided the last winner on Greyville’s card, when his three-year-old daughter Angel Of Justice prevailed in the eighth race, the Hollywoodbets Bright Future FM 68 Handicap (F&M) over 1700m.
Under a well judged ride from Gabriel Pieterse, the Nathan Kotzen trained filly ran on strongly to edge her rivals in a thrilling finish and win by a neck.

Bred by Varsfontein Stud, Angel Of Justice has won twice from just five starts and she looks capable of building on Monday’s win.
Out of the Parade Leader mare Angel Witch, Angel Of Justice was a R30 000 buy from the 2020 National 2YO Sale.

Master Of My Fate went close to enjoying a big payday at Kenilworth on Saturday when his two-year-old daughter Miss Marguerite ran second in the R500 000 BSA Cape Yearling Sale Cup.
