More feature race success for Querari

30th April 2026

Maine Chance Farms’ red hot sire Querari made it two graded winners in two days when his daughter Querari Dancer won the G3 Tote Strelitzia Stakes (1100m) on Wednesday.
The day before had seen Querari’s two-year-old son Time Is Precious win the G3 TAB Protea Stakes (1100m) in scintillating fashion.

Promising two-year-old Querari Dancer was one of two winners for her sire at Hollywoodbets Scottsville on Wednesday, with the exciting Vibe Check victorious in the second race.

Trained by Justin Snaith, Querari Dancer made it two wins from four starts when she won the Strelitzia Stakes.
Under Andrew Fortune, the Querari ran on steadily down the inside of the track, with Querari Dancer going on to win by a long neck.

Bred by Clifton Stud, Querari Dancer is owned by Nick Jonsson.
Wednesday’s winner, who is out of the Mambo In Seattle mare Dancing Queen, was a R280 000 buy from the 2025 KZN Yearling Sale.

Querari, South Africa’s Leading Sire of 2YOs in 2018-2019, looks to have another promising two-year-old to his name in the form of Vibe Check. Held in high regard by his connections, that Vaughan Marshall trained colt made a big impression when romping home, under Sean Veale, to win Wednesday’s Tote Soccer Bets Maiden Juvenile Plate (1400m) by five and a half lengths.

Bred by Maine Chance Farms, Vibe Check, bred on the same Querari/Captain Al cross as the likes of Questioning and Turn It Up, races for Mr Burns. He is the ninth two-year-old winner this season for his sire, with Querari also responsible for the hugely exciting Race Coast Sales Slipper winner Turn It Up.
