Noble Tune relative lifts Prix d’Ispahan

27th May 2019

The beautifully bred Zabeel Prince, who is from the same family as Millstream Farm’s new stallion Noble Tune, picked up the first G1 win of his career when he landed the G1 Prix d’Ispahan at ParisLongchamp on Sunday.
Now a six-year-old, the Roger Varian trained gelding quickened up smartly and stayed on down last year’s G1 Prix du Jockey Club (French Derby) winner Study Of Man by three-parts of a length, with Trais Fluors back in third spot.

A son of Lope De Vega, Zabeel Prince,a  ¾ brother to G2 winning sire Puissance De Lune, has now six of only ten starts, and has banked over £233 000 in prize money.

He is out of the Unbridled’s Song mare Princess Serena –whose dam Serena’s Sister is a full-sister to US champion and outstanding producer Serena’s Song.

The latter, whose progeny include G1 Coronation Stakes winner Sophisticat, is the third dam of US champion and popular young sire Honor Code and the latter’s multiple graded stakes winning half-brother Noble Tune.

The latter, the only son of outstanding sire Unbridled’s Song at stud in South Africa, was a graded stakes winner at both two and three and also finished runner up in the 2012 G1 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf.
