Cape champion Pathfork is a half-brother to top US three-year-old War Of Will, who is one of 11 horses pre-entered for the 2019 G1 Longines Breeders’ Cup Classic.
Due to be run at Santa Anita on November 2nd, the Breeders’ Cup Classic has attracted some of North America’s top horses with other entries including fellow G1 winners Code Of Honor, Elate, Higher Power, McKinzie, Seeking The Soul, Vino Rosso and Yoshida.
Trained by Mark Casse, War Of Will has won four of 13 outings, with his victories including a triumph in the 2019 G1 Preakness Stakes and he was third in the G1 Pennsylvania Derby last time out.
Also runner up in the G1 Summer Stakes at two, War Of Will (by War Front) has earned over $1.6 million.
Pathfork, unbeaten in three starts at two when victorious in both the G1 boylesports.com Vincent O’Brien National Stakes and G2 Galileo EBF Futurity Stakes, is from one of the hottest families in the stud book and is from the same female line as 2019 G1 winners Romanised, Siskin, and Almond Eye, as well as promising young sire Rubick –the sire of 2019 The Everest winner Yes Yes Yes.
