For a second year in a row, Maine Chance Farms’ G1 winning stallion Querari is South Africa’s Leading Sire of 2YOs by stakes.

The son of Oasis Dream was South Africa’s Champion Sire of 2YOs in 2018-2019, with 18 2yo winners to his name, and Querari two-year-olds earning over R2.558 million in prize money.
This season, Querari has been responsible for 17 two-year-old winners in South Africa, with his juveniles banking over R1.046 million in stakes.
His notable two-year-olds this season include Listed Prince Florimund Irridescence Stakes winner Caya Coco, Listed Lady’s Slipper Stakes heroine Herrin, G3 Strelitzia Stakes runner up Slalom Queen, the unbeaten Invincabelle, and the graded stakes placed pair of Rapid Fire and Hyde Park.
Germany’s Champion Older Horse Of 2010, Querari, a half-brother to the graded/group winners Quidura and Quasillo, won five times with his victories including a triumph in the 2010 G1 Premio Presidente Della Repubblica.
To date, the son of Oasis Dream (also sire of top-class stallion Showcasing) has been responsible for more than 40 black type horses including the graded stakes winners Querari Falcon, Head Honcho, Kampala Campari, Wonderwall, Monks Hood, Cosmic Light, Kangaroo Jack, Cockney Pride, Pinnacle Peak and Mill Queen.
