Ascot Stud’s well performed stallion Global View is South Africa’s Leading First Season Sire of 2019-2020. Global View, who ended the season in eighth spot on the Leading Sires of 2YOs list, was responsible for 11 winners during the past season, with his first-two-year-olds banking R610 500 in prize money.

The son of Galileo ended 2019-2020 with eight South African first crop winners to his credit, with his tally headed by Friday’s Listed Champion Juvenile Cup winner Global Drummer.
The latter, bred by Ascot, has won four of just five starts, with Global Drummer also victorious in this season’s Listed Dahlia Plate and Listed East Cape Nursery.
Other promising sorts found in Global View’s first crop include East Cape Nursery second Fireview, Lady’s Slipper Stakes runner up Storyland and Klawervlei Farm Sale Graduate Race runner up Tanzanite Queen.
Winner of the G3 Generous Stakes at two, and the G2 American Turf Stakes at three, Global View shares his outstanding sire Galileo with this season’s G1 Investec Oaks winner Love and Investec Derby hero Serpentine, as well as the top stallions Frankel, New Approach and Teofilo.
