Cheveley Stud’s home bred sire, and former Horse Of The Year, Legislate came up with yet another stakes winner when his daughter Brianna won the Listed Sable Flyers (1260m) at Borrowdale Park.
The Collins Stud bred six-year-old turned Sunday’s Listed sprint into a one horse race, with Brianna drawing off, under Morgan Nyamagwete.

Trained by Gavin MacLeod, Brianna has now won seven times in total.

The mare is out of the Tiger Ridge daughter Tippy Toe.

Brianna is the ninth stakes winner for her sire Legislate, whose small first crop of just 23 foals produced six stakes winners –four of which are graded stakes winners.

South Africa’s Horse Of The Year in 2013-2014, Legislate had two-year-olds make up to R750 000 at this year’s August Two Year Old Sale.

Dynasty’s champion son has a single lot on offer at the 2023 November Two Year Old Sale –a half-sister (Lot 38) to the very smart filly The Charleston.
