High-class producer Sylvie, consigned by Black Swan Stud, proved the star attraction at the RCS Mixed Sale Featuring the Black Swan Dispersal on Thursday.
The winning Dupont three-parts sister (Lot 8) to multiple graded stakes winner Depardieu was knocked down to Lammerskraal Stud for R1 400 000.
Sylvie, who sold infoal to Rafeef, has already produced six winners from seven runners. The mare, who hails from the same female line as such champions as Gimme A Nother, Mother Russia and Winter Solstice, has produced three stakes winners notably G2 Betway Joburg Spring F and M Challenge winner Celtic Rumours (by Vercingetorix) and the speedy Listed Swallow Stakes winners Sarah (by What A Winter) and Almond Sea (by Canford Cliffs).
High-class racemare Elusive Heart (Lot 7), also from the Black Swan Stud draft, was the second top lot sold off Thursday’s sale. The daughter of Elusive Fort was knocked down to the Hemel ‘N Aarde Stud for R1 150 000 on Thursday.
Elusive Heart, who sold with a Sandringham Summit colt at foot, won seven times, with her wins including a score in the G3 Vasco Prix du Cap.
