Avontuur Thoroughbred Farm’s well related young sire Talk Of The Town gained a notable update to his pedigree when his full-brother Harley Street broke his maiden at Hollywoodbets Scottsville on Sunday.
A three-year-old son of Var, the Tony Rivalland trained Harley Street had finished fourth on debut before finishing third last time out.
Under Keagan De Melo, the gelded Harley Street raced just off the pace early on in Sunday’s Smyrna Maiden Plate (1600m), before hitting the front 250m from home
From there, Harley Street kept galloping strongly to post a just over one and a half length win.
Bred by the Backworth Stud, Harley Street is out of the Street Cry mare Street Wise.
The latter had also recently enjoyed success when her daughter Columbia Road romped home to a four and a half length maiden win at Hollywoodbets Greyville.
Street Wise’s Var son Talk Of The Town showed huge promise in a brief racing career when winning three of just five starts.
The handsome chestnut’s third dam Dancing Show is also ranks as granddam as none other than multiple champion sire Redoute’s Choice
