Three winners in two days for Master Of My Fate

12th Nov 2018

Varsfontein Stud’s exciting young stallion Master Of My Fate continues to impress as a potential high class sire, and the handsome son of Jet Master enjoyed notable success at the end of last week, with three of his runners scoring on two days.

Hashtagyolo

Master Of My Fate’s trio of winners was kicked off when his daughter Pink shed her maiden at the Vaal on Thursday for trainer Lucky Houdalakis and jockey Gavin Lerena.
The consistent 3yo filly  was dispatched the tote favourite having finished second at her previous start, and duly obliged with Pink prevailing in a tight finish to the 1400m contest.

Bred by the Connemara Stud, Pink was produced by the Dynasty (sire of Master Of My Fate’s high class close relative Hashtagyolo) mare Punta Chica.

Her dual G2 winning sire then enjoyed a quick-fire double on Friday, with Master Of My Fate runners enjoying success both in the Eastern Cape and in KZN.

Master Of My Fate’s first Friday winner came when his Varsfontein Stud bred and owned daughter Bushiri shed her maiden over 1400m, for Alan Greeff and Greg Cheyne, and the sire completed his Friday double when another daughter, Little Audrey, picked up her first race when scoring over 2000m at Greyville that same evening for trainer Duncan Howells and jockey Craig Zackey.

Twist Of Fate

Currently South Africa’s Leading Second Crop Sire by stakes, Master Of My Fate’s first crop also includes the likes of G3 Cape Classic winner, and leading G2 Concorde Cup hope, Twist Of Fate, CTS Ready To Run Stakes hopeful Lucky Dancer, G2 Dingaans entrant Gift For The Gap, and the very promising filly In The Stars.

Winner of six of his eight starts, Master Of My Fate has two lots on offer at this month’s CTS Ready To Run Sale.
