Drakenstein Stud’s inform champion sire Trippi looks to have another potentially smart sort on his hands in the form of Picture Perfect.

The latter, a three-year-old colt bred by Nadeson Park Stud, made a very impressive debut when winning at Turffontein on Sunday to stamp himself a horse to follow.
Under Mark Khan, the Weiho Marwing trained Picture Perfect was always travelling strongly in Sunday’s 4Racing.TV Maiden Plate (1160m).
The Trippi colt pulled well clear of his rivals to win as he liked by three and a half lengths, and he looks an exciting future prospect.
Out of the Mount Nelson mare Mohave Prospect, Picture Perfect has a Twice Over half-brother on offer at the upcoming Cape Premier Yearling Sale.
His sire Trippi, whose dual G1 L’Ormarins Queen’s Plate winning son Jet Dark finished second in Saturday’s G1 World Sports Betting Cape Town Met, has had another fine season in 2021-2022 thus far.
At the time of writing, Trippi had been responsible for five black type winners this season, with his local runners having already banked more than R3.833 million this season thus far.
Sire of 84 stakes winners thus far, Trippi has six lots on offer at this week’s Cape Premier Yearling Sale, and a single lot on sale at the Cape Yearling Sale.
