Trippi grandson makes waves at stud

23rd Aug 2020

Drakenstein Stud’s champion sire Trippi is the broodmare sire of rising star US sire Not This Time, whose first two-year-olds continue to make a big impression.

Not This Time

The G3 Iroquois Stakes winning Not This Time, a half-brother to multiple G1 winner and proven G1 sire Liam’s Map, came up with his seventh first crop winner over the weekend, when his exciting daughter Princess Noor stamped herself as a hugely exciting prospect.
A $1.35 million sales topping buy from the Ocala Breeders’Sales Company’s Spring Sale of Two-Year-Olds in Training, Princess Noor made a stunning winning debut at Del Mar on Saturday.
Acclaimed as a rising star by the Thoroughbred Daily News, Princess Noor won as she liked by two and a half lengths, and the filly is now set to target either the G1 Del Mar Debutante, G1 Frizette Stakes or G1 Chandelier Stakes.
Out of Trippi’s G3 Winning Colors Stakes winning daughter Miss Macy Sue, Not This Time is currently fighting out a duel to top the North America’s Leading 1st-Crop Sires List, and the son of Giant’s Causeway looks a very intriguing prospect indeed.

South Africa’s Champion Sire of 2015-2106, Trippi has fast become a high-class broodmare sire with his daughters also responsible for the likes of Miss Florida, Multiplier, Miss Sunset and the top-class, but ill-fated, sprinter Sceptical.
