Tuesday double for William Longsword

11th December 2024

Klawervlei Stud’s homebred stallion William Longsword continues to wrack up winners all over South Africa.
The Cape Guineas struck yet again when supplying two more winners at Hollywoodbets Greyville on Tuesday.
Remarkably, William Longsword came close to having a four-timer on Tuesday, with his son National Award finishing second in the fifth race and daughter Off Limits finishing runner-up in the sixth race.
On Tuesday, William Longsword’s first success came when his daughter Sweet Reunion won the first race at Hollywoodbets Greyville.
Trained by Michael Miller, and ridden by Tristan Godden, the Waterford Stud-bred three-year-old powered home to win the Gallop TV Youtube Channel Maiden Plate (F & M) by just over a length.

Her sire struck again on Tuesday when his son Rollo The Viking romped home to a clear-cut win in the fourth race.
The Frank Robinson-trained three-year-old was in a different division from his rivals in the Catch KZN Racing via live streaming on www.galloptv.co.za Maiden Plate (1600m), with Rollo The Viking storming home to win by nearly four lengths.
The gelding, second or third in his four starts before Tuesday’s win, was bred by Sandra Michelle Ajax & Target Acquired.
His inform stallion William Longsword is also responsible for star sprinter Dyce, this season’s G2 Betway Joburg Spring Challenge winner Back In Business and Listed Betway National Colour Stakes queen Ice Star.
William Longsword has three fillies on offer at the 2025 Summer Sale.
