The great run enjoyed of late by Black Swan Stud’s resident sire Elusive Fort shows no sign of coming to an end, and the former Equus Champion made headlines once again at Kenilworth on Saturday when his unbeaten son Kommetdieding captured the G3 Politician Stakes (1800m) in fine style.
Trained by Harold Crawford/Michelle Rix, three-year-old Kommetdieding made it four wins from four starts with a fluent win over a high-class field of three-year-olds.

Despite carrying joint top weight of 60kgs, the Klawervlei Stud bred colt was too classy for his rivals and went on to score by a length and a half, under a well timed ride from Sihle Cele.

Winner of the Klawervlei Farm Sale Graduate Race on debut, Kommetdieding was a R55 000 buy from the 2019 Klawervlei Farm Sale.

The Elusive Fort colt, now unbeaten in four starts, took his earnings to R321 000 with his first graded win on Saturday.
Out of the Captain Al mare Adorable, Kommetdieding is bred on the same Elusive Fort/Captain Al cross as dual G3 winner Freedom Charter and the latter’s Sophomore Sprint winning brother Ernie.

Also the sire of this season’s G2 WSB Dingaans/G3 Tony Ruffel Stakes winner Catch Twentytwo, Elusive Fort has four lots on the Cape Yearling Sale, and a further two lots on the Cape Premier Yearling Sale.
