Grand Slam’s G1 winning son was back in the news when his talented son Africa Rising accounted for some of South Africa’s best 3yos when victorious in the recent G3 Byerley Turk for champion trainer Sean Tarry.
Bred by Summerhill Stud, Africa Rising (a R625 000 buy from the 2015 CTS Johannesburg Ready To Run Sale) has now earned over R800 000 and looks a potential contender for the G2 Daisy Guineas next month.

He has ten lots on Friday’s Emperors Palace Select Yearling Sale, including a colt from the family of Parade Leader, Parade Ground and Military (Lot 4), a half-sister to G2 winner Intergalactic (Lot 5), a colt out of Golden Slipper winner Dignify (Lot 93), and a colt out of a Fort Wood half-sister to 2 graded stakes winners (Lot 128).

Visionaire’s 16 strong draft at next month’s National Sale includes a filly out of G3 winner La Pucelle (Lot 4), a filly out of G1 winning champion Legally Blonde (Lot 14), a half-brother to G1 performer Fenerbahce (Lot 173), a colt out of stakes winner Comtesse Dubois (Lot 343), and a colt out of a full-sister to R2.9 million plus earner No Worries (Lot 461).
