Varsfontein Stud’s bang inform stallion Gimmethegreenlight, whose promising son Paisley Park made it three wins from as many starts on Tuesday, continued his run of success when supplying a pair of winners at Kenilworth the following day.

His two-year-old daughter Super Siri followed up a promising second place finish on debut, against males, when she ran out a fluent winner of the first race at Kenilworth on Tuesday.
Under Richard Fourie, the Justin Snaith trained filly ran on strongly to score by three-parts of a length over 1000m.

Bred by Klawervlei Stud, Super Siri was a R125 000 buy from the 2020 Cape Premier Yearling Sale.

Gimmethegreenlight’s second winner on Wednesday came when his son Dubai Lights stayed on to lift the third race for Vaughan Marshall and Luke Ferraris. Sent off tote favourite for the No Mask No Entry MR 76 Handicap (1200m), the Lammerskraal Stud bred three-year-old ran on to score by a length and a quarter while taking his tally of wins to two from just seven starts. The gelding is out of the Dubai Destination mare Dubai Gina, and was a R250 000 buy from the 2019 Emperors Palace National Yearling Sale.

South Africa’s Leading First Season Sire of 2015-2016, Gimmethegreenlight is enjoying another fine season in 2020-2021 and he is currently third on the General Sires List.
