Wednesday treble for Querari

10th Nov 2022

Maine Chance Farms’ prominent stallion Querari had a day to remember on Wednesday when the champion son of Oasis Dream was responsible for supplying three winners on the Hollywoodbets Greyville eight race card!
Querari got off to the perfect start when his three-year-old daughter Valerias Dream, a full-sister to G2 Joburg Spring Challenge winner Wonderwall, ran out a convincing winner of the first race at Greyville.
From the inform Peter Muscutt yard, Valerias Dream stormed home, under Tristan Godden, to capture Wednesday’s Catch KZN Racing Via Live Streaming On www.galloptv.co.za Maiden Plate (F&M) (1600m) by nearly a length and a half.
Bred by Normandy Stud (also breeders of Querari’s champion son Rio Querari), Valerias Dream was making just her third start on Wednesday, with the lightly raced filly having finished third last time out.
Querari struck again at Greyville when his smart daughter Electric Surge romped home to win the fourth race on the card in facile fashion. The Maine Chance Farms bred mare, who had 60kgs on her back, outclassed her rivals to win the Support Coastal Horse Care Unit FM 76 Handicap (2000m) by nearly three lengths.
Trained by Robbie Hill, Electric Surge, who had contested both the G3 DSTV Gold Vase and G2 Gold Bracelet last season, had been runner up in the 2021 G2 Track And Ball Oaks. Out of the Dancing Duel mare Elusive, Electric Surge has now earned more than R380 000 in stakes.
Querari’s third success on Wednesday came when his Garth Puller trained son Queue Wing was victorious in the sixth race on the local card. Under Serino Moodley, the Birch Bros bred gelding flew up late to score a courageous win by a neck.
Out of the Silvano mare Africa’s Delight, the inform Queue Wing, a winner of four of 14 starts, has either won or been placed in each of his last four starts.

South Africa’s Leading Sire of 2YOs in both 2018-2019 and 2021-2022, Querari is enjoying another fine season in 2022-2023 and, at the time of writing, is currently fifth on the South African General Sires List.
The sire of unbeaten three-year-old fillies Galla Vanting, Godsmacked and Mythical Dream, Querari has five lots on offer at the upcoming November Two Year Old Sale.
