Irish champion Pathfork, who was responsible for a trio of winners over the past weekend, was responsible for a hugely impressive debut winner at Fairview on Monday.

His three-year-old daughter Verbarium, a full-sister to Pathfork’s East Cape champion Madame Speaker,  made a big impression first time out when romping home to a seven length win over 1200m, after making much of the running.
Trained by Alan Greeff (who also part-owns the filly), Verbarium was bred by Stanley Bennett.

Her sire Pathfork, a half-brother to 2019 G1 Preakness Stakes hero War Of Will, enjoyed further success over the past weekend, with his progeny winning at all of Greyville, Fairview and Champ De Mars over the past weekend.

Verbarium’s own sister Madame Speaker made it win number seven when the four-year-old filly bounded clear to post a facile two and a half length win in conditions plate for fillies and mares at Fairview on Friday.
The former East Cape champion, who was bred by Stanley Bennett, is trained by Alan Greeff and was ridden on Friday by Greg Cheyne.
Out of the National Assembly mare Word Perfect, Madame Speaker is yet to finish out of the money in 17 starts and she has won or placed in no fewer than 10 black type races.

Pathfork also enjoyed success at Hollywoodbets Greyville on Sunday where his daughter Stelvio won over 1900m and at Champ de Mars the previous day where his son Choir Of Angels scored over 1400m.
