Varsfontein Stud’s imposing Jet Master horse Master Of My Fate had an excellent season in 2019-2020 and his good form continued at Hollywoodbets Greyville on Thursday.

Winner of both the G2 Premier Trophy and G2 Peninsula Handicap, Master Of My Fate was responsible for a pair of winners at Thursday’s meeting, with daughter Mama Pyjama landing Greyville’s second race and son Master Tobe victorious in the fourth race.
The Gareth Van Zyl trained Mama Pyjama followed up two runner up finishes when she broke her maiden over 1900m on Thursday. Under jockey Warren Kennedy, the 3yo filly pulled clear to record a length win while getting off the mark at the fourth time of asking.
Bred by Fran Cowe, Mama Pyjama had two other Master Of My Fate daughters Silver Beauty and Underthemistletoe behind her in third and fourth respectively.
Master Of My Fate’s second success came when his Mark Dixon trained son Master Tobe powered home to record a three-parts of a length win when scoring, under Keagan De Melo, over 1600m. The Favour Stud bred gelding made it back to back wins, and scored for a third time, with his victory on Thursday.
From the same family as current standouts Ecstatic Green, Erik The Red and Malmoos, Master Of My Fate has a fine crop of 3yos this season, with his sophomores headed by Equus Champion Tempting Fate and fellow G1 winner Sentbydestiny.
