The Cheveley Stud based Wylie Hall has been having his share of winners lately, and the son of Redoute’s Choice was again among the winners on Friday.

This time, it was Wylie Hall’s four year-old daughter Arion Express who took centre stage, with that filly making it a hatrick of wins with a bold showing over 2400m at Fairview.

Under a confident ride from Kendall Minnie, the Tara Laing trained Arion Express hit the front 150m from home before staying on nicely to register a two and a half length win.

Bred by the Cheveley Stud, Arion Express has now won three and placed in a further three of her last seven races.

A member of her sire’s first crop, Arion Express is out of the Fort Wood mare Valhalla.

Wylie Hall made a pleasing start with his early runners headed by exported G3 Protea Stakes/Storm Bird Stakes winner Twilight Moon and the smart (also exported) De La Cruz -a winner of three of just five South African starts.
