Sire of South Africa’s reigning Horse Of The Year Rainbow Bridge, his yearlings made up to R850 000 at this year’s National Yearling Sale. He is having another good season, with his stakes winners headed by Ululate, Donald McDonald and Cat Daddy. Already sire of nearly 30 stakes winners, with his other notable performers including Met winning champion Smart Call, champion stayer Hermoso Mundo and G1 SA Derby winner Samurai Warrior.
LEGISLATE
A four time G1 winning son of outstanding sire Dynasty, he won four Equus Awards and was South Africa’s Horse Of The Year in 2013-2014. His impressive small crop was headed by graded stakes winners Hoedspruit and Zimbaba as well as the stakes winners Speed Machine and Swazi Queen.
His son Hoedspruit is regarded as a likely contender for this year’s G1 Hollywoodbets Durban July.
MALMOOS
One of more than 100 stakes winners sired by multiple champion sire Captain Al, he captured the WSB Triple Crown in 2021, when victorious in all of the G2 Gauteng Guineas, G1 SA Classic and G1 SA Derby. A five time graded stakes winner, he was a R4 400 000 buy from the 2019 National Yearling Sale, and his stakes winning dam Justthewayyouare is a Fort Wood half-sister to top-class sire Master Of My Fate.
MASTER OF MY FATE
A dual G2 winning son of champions Jet Master and Promisefrommyheart, he has firmly established himself as a very successful sire. His top performers including G1 winning fillies Sentbydestiny and Zarina, as well as champion Tempting Fate, and his three-year-olds have taken South African by storm this season, with their number including G2 WSB Guineas winner Zapatillas and the progressive Gem King-winner of the G3 WSB Variety Club Mile and G3 WSB Legal Eagle Stakes at his two more recent starts.
ONE WORLD
An Equus Champion himself, he won 10 of 14 starts including the 2020 G1 Sun Met where he accounted for such champions as Rainbow Bridge, Hawwaam, Vardy and Do It Again. Never out of the first three,he was a black type winner at two, three and four and was unbeaten in three starts at two. One of the very best sons of multiple champion sire Captain Al, One World is out of a mare by multiple champion sire Giant’s Causeway -who also ranks as the broodmare sire of outstanding young US stallion Gun Runner.
PATHFORK
A champion, and unbeaten G1 winner at two, the impeccably bred Pathfork has proved consistently successful since retiring to stud in South Africa. A half-brother to Preakness Stakes winner War Of Will, his best offspring thus far include the G1 winners Mighty High (Allan Robertson Championship) and Pearl Of Asia (Mercury Sprint), this season’s G2 Allied Steelrode- Onamissionmile winner Bingwa, graded stakes winners Jet Start, Marchingontogether, Mr Flood and My Friend Lee, and facile recent WSB East Cape Derby winner Chollima.
