Ascot Stud’s dual graded stakes winning sire Global View had a big payday at Hollywoodbets Scottsville on Saturday when his son Decorated captured the G3 Track And Ball Derby (2400m) in courageous fashion.

Under Muzi Yeni, Decorated hit the front a long way from home in Saturday’s feature. Yeni kept extricating more from his game mount, as Decorated stayed on well to land the R175 000 graded race by a head.

Trained by Frank Robinson, the gelded four-year-old had finished second in the World Sports Betting Highland Night Cup (Non-Black Type) earlier in the season, before finishing less than two and a half lengths back in the G3 Lonsdale Stirrup Cup.
Bred by John and Liz Slade, Decorated has now won five times from 24 starts with the Global View son having now earned over R370 000 in prize money.

Decorated, who is out of the Dynasty mare Art Deco, is the first graded stakes winner for Global View.

The latter, South Africa’s Leading First Season Sire of 2019-2020, is also responsible for East Cape champion Global Drummer, Listed East Cape Fillies Nursery queen Sound Check and G3 Sycamore Sprint runner up Kissing Point.

Global View is a son of legendary sire Galileo -who was represented by his 95th G1 winner when his son Kyprios captured the G1 Gold Cup on Thursday.
