Global View colt Dave The King made the perfect start to his racing career when he won at the first time of asking at Kenilworth on Wednesday.
Under Jabu Jacobs, the Vaughan Marshall trained two-year-old romped away to land the Soetendal Estate Maiden Juvenile Plate (1200m) by an emphatic three and a quarter lengths.
Bred by the Gary Player Stud, Dave The King is out of the Jet Master mare Touche.
The colt was a R175 000 buy from the 2021 Cape Premier Yearling Sale.
Dave The King is one of several promising two-year-olds representing Global View this season, with others including Listed WSB Dahlia Plate runner up Forest Spy and smart debut winner Coastal Path.
His dual graded stakes winning sire Global View also enjoyed success in Zimbabwe on Wednesday when his son Love The View won an allowance plate for Thomas Mason and Denis Schwarz.
