Sandown Stud’s G1 winning stallion Pathfork looks to have an above average sort on his hands in the form of And We Danced.
The latter made it four wins in a row when she won decisively at Fairview on Friday, with And We Dance’s connections now hopeful of picking up some black type.
Trained by Sharon Kotzen, four-year-old And We Danced defied a turnover in weights with some of her rivals when she stormed home to land Friday’s Racing240 For Racing. For You Conditions Plate over 1600 metres.
Under Louis Mxothwa, the Andy Williams bred filly powered away to win going away by two and a quarter lengths.
Out of the Commands mare Dance City Queen, And We Danced has now won six of her 20 starts, with the Pathfork daughter having won five of her last seven starts.
And We Danced’s sire is no stranger to coming up with classy daughters, with other notable daughters of Pathfork including G1 Allan Robertson Championship winner Mighty High, East Cape champion Madame Speaker, G3 London News Stakes queen Jet Start and G3 Magnolia Handicap victress My Friend Lee.
Also sire of impressive recent winner Marchingontogether (who has now won more than R1 000 000 in stakes) and this season’s top-class three-year-old Royal Victory, Pathfork is currently above the likes of Trippi, Dynasty and Rafeef on the General Sires List for 2022-2023.
