The Oldlands Stud based Indigo Magic made headlines this weekend when his daughter Fullfillyourdream scored a fairytale win in the BSA August Million Fillies over 1400m at Scottsville on Sunday.
Trained by Robbie Hill, and bred by the Oldlands Stud, Fullfillyourdream was making just her second career outing, having finished a close up fourth on debut.
The filly, who cost just R25 000 when purchased from last year’s National Two Year Old Sale, took her earnings to R629 250 with a fast finishing half a length win in Sunday’s R1 000 000 contest.
Fullfillyourdream has an Ashaawes half-brother (lot43) on offer at this week’s National Two Year Old Sale.
Her sire Indigo Magic has just five registered three-year-olds-of which four have won or finished in the money. His 3yos this season also includes the smart colt Boyra who contested the G1 Premiers Champion Stakes.
The regally bred Indigo Magic, a son of leading sire and sire of sires Gone West and Epsom Oaks winner Lady Carla, is a well established sire, whose notable winners include Fillies Guineas winner Go Indigo and top sprinter Shades Of Indigo.
He has one lot on offer at this week’s National Two Year Old Sale –a filly, and half-sister to 4 winners, from the same family as dual classic winner and leading sire Niniski (Lot 226).
