Hemel ‘N Aarde’s resident sire Jay Peg has been enjoying a great run of success, and the former Equus Champion was at it again over the weekend.

This time, it was Jay Peg’s 3yo son Red Rascal who caught the eye, when making a winning debut over 1200m at Kenilworth on Saturday for trainer Adam Marcus and owner-breeder Basil Marcus.
The gelding quickened up in eye catching style to win first time out by 1.25 lengths, going away, and he looks a smart sort.
Held in high-regard by his connections, Red Rascal is out of the three time winning Centenary mare Gold And Roses.
He is one of several smart sophomores representing Jay Peg this season, with others including G3 winner Woljayrine, and G1 contender Midnight Moonlight.
His four time G1 winning sire Jay Peg is enjoying another good season, with his more notable runners this season including G2 WSB Cape Merchants winner Silicone Valley and the smart feature race winner Omega Onslaught.
Sire of numerous graded stakes winners, including Woljayrine, Exit Here, and Peggy Jay (as well as R3 million plus earner Victorious Jay), Jay Peg has 3 lots on the 2018 April Yearling Sale and one yearling on the 2018 Emperors Palace National Yearling Sale.
