Varsfontein Stud’s red hot resident sire Master Of My Fate looks to have a really smart prospect on his hands in the form of promising three-year-old filly Broadway Girl.
The latter put up a dazzling performance when romping home to a brilliant, three and a half length win in Sunday’s Beach Beauty Mile (Non-Black Type) (1600m) run at Hollywoodbets Greyville.
Under Keagan De Melo, Broadway Girl raced towards the back of the field early on, before being unleashed in the straight.
From there, it was just a matter of who would run second, as Broadway Girl powered home to score impressively by three and a half lengths.
Trained, like Beach Beauty, by Dennis Drier, the Boland Stud bred Broadway Girl has now won two of five starts and is yet to finish out of the top four.
Out of the Dynasty mare Nzinga, Broadway Girl has a Captain Of All half-brother on offer at this year’s November Two Year Old Sale.
She was one of two winners for her sire at Greyville on Sunday, with Master Of My Fate also responsible for Sunday’s fifth race winner Sea Master. That Varsfontein Stud bred five-year-old powered home, under Richard Fourie, to register a fourth career victory with a game score over 2300 metres. Trained by Carl Hewitson, Sea Master has now finished first or second in each of his past six races!
Master Of My Fate had also enjoyed success at Turffontein the previous day where his Boland Stud bred daughter Hollywoodbound claimed victory in the day’s eighth race on the card.
