Drakenstein Stud’s prominent sire One World has sired a potential star in the form of Rich Man’s World.
The latter made a winning three-year-old debut when making much of the running to win the fifth race at Hollywoodbets Durbanville on Wednesday -despite proving a handful before the race.

Under Richard Fourie, Rich Man’s World was always up with the pace in Wednesday’s Race Coast Incentives Powered By Hollywoodbets Progress Plate (1250m).
Despite being challenged late on, the Vaughan Marshall trained colt pulled out more in the closing stages to win a shade cosily by half a length.

It was a fine effort from the classy Rich Man’s World, with the latter making his first start since finishing second in May’s G1 Gold Medallion.
Rich Man’s World has won four of five starts with his victories headed by a seven and a half length romp in last season’s G3 Tote Godolphin Barb Stakes.
Bred by the Boland Stud, the One World colt is owned by Messrs R L Gabler & K P Truter & Mesdames C L Gabler & Jane Truter.

Rich Man’s World, who is out of the Silvano mare Sommersonne, was a R450 000 buy from the 2025 National Yearling Sale. The classy colt is bred on the same One World/Silvano cross as recently retired champion One Stripe.

His G1 Sun Met winning sire One World went close to having a double at Hollywoodbets Durbanville on Wednesday with his daughter Desert Ice just touched off when runner up in the fourth race.

Champion One World has eight lots on offer at the October Two Year Old Sale.
