The Maine Chance Farms based Querari, South Africa’s Leading Sire of 2YOs for 2018-2019, has another top-class crop of two-year-olds, and the son of Oasis Dream enjoyed more juvenile success at Kenilworth on Sunday.

The Querari sired two-year-old Caya Coco became her sire’s 22nd individual stakes winner when she won the Listed Prince Florimund Irridescence Stakes, while Querari’s promising son Hyde Park caught the eye when finishing a close up third in Sunday’s G3 Beaumont Stud Langerman, with another Querari son, My Bestie, claiming the fourth spot in the Langerman.

Trained by Glen Kotzen, the Ndoro Stud bred Caya Coco made it two wins from just three starts when she made all to land Sunday’s Irridescence Stakes (1500m) by a neck.

Out of the Right Approach mare Atlantic Beach, the Morne Winaar ridden Caya Coco kept going gamely to hold off a late challenge from favourite Captain’s Ransom.

The filly is one of several exciting two-year-olds representing Querari this season, with others including the aforementioned pair of Hyde Park and My Bestie, the unbeaten Invincabelle, Lady’s Slipper Stakes heroine Herrin, and G3 Strelitzia Stakes runner up Slalom Queen.

A G1 winning son of Oasis Dream, Querari has 25 yearlings on offer at the upcoming National Sale.
