Ridgemont’s exciting young stallion Real Gone Kid came up with a sixth first-crop winner when his daughter Say A Prayer won at Fairview on Friday.
Trained by Alan Greeff, the two-year-old had finished third on debut and duly got off the mark at the second time of asking on Friday.

Under Richard Fourie, Say A Prayer just kept finding in the closing stages to win the Welcome To Nelson Maiden Juvenile Plate (1000m) by a head.
It was a 1-2 finish for Real Gone Kid, with Say A Prayer vanquishing her paternal half-sister Carnival into second spot.

Bred by Ridgemont Highlands, Friday’s winner races for her breeders in partnership with Devin Heffer.

Say A Prayer is out of the Gitano Hernando mare Whose That Girl.

She joins the likes of Listed East Cape Nursery runner up Master Mtoto, as well as the likes of  Lady Jean, Highway Heiress, Preacher Man, and This Or That as early winners for her sire Real Gone Kid.

The latter is a son of the late, great Snitzel, with that son of Redoute’s Choice poised to claim his fifth Australian Champion Sires title this season. At the time of writing, Snitzel runners had won 27 black type races in Australia this season while earning more than AUS $23.4 million in stakes.
