Three in a row for Pathfork gelding

18th Sep 2022

The Sandown Stud based Pathfork looks to have yet another smart performer to his credit in the name of Galactic Path.
The latter caught the eye when he captured the eighth and final race at Hollywoodbets Durbanville on Saturday afternoon. In the process, the Piet Botha trained Galactic Path made it three wins on the bounce.

Under an inform Louis Mxothwa, four-year-old Galactic Path powered home down the inside of the Durbanville track to record a courageous, long neck win in Saturday’s Hollywoodbets Bright Future MR 74 Handicap over 2000 metres.
Bred by Millstream Farm, Galactic Path came into Saturday’s contest having won his last two starts, and the gelding looks a progressive sort in the making.

Out of the Right Approach mare Goose Valley, Galactic Path was a bargain R15 000 buy from the 2020 Cape Yearling Sale but he has now earned more than R160 000 in stakes.

His G1 Vincent O’Brien National Stakes winning sire Pathfork had another good season in 2021-2022, where Pathfork’s flagbearers included G2 Allied Steelrode-Onamissionmile winner Bingwa, Listed WSB East Cape Derby winner Chollima and the classy Royal Victory, runner up in the G1 Premiers Champion Stakes.
