Thursday double for Master Of My Fate

29th April 2022

Varsfontein Stud’s resident sire Master Of My Fate has been on a hot streak of late, and the son of Jet Master came up with another double at Hollywoodbets Greyville on Thursday.
Master Of My Fate ended the Greyville meeting on a high, with his progeny Kileigh’s Fate and Proud Master winning the last two races on the card.

Trained by Michael Roberts, four-year-old Kileigh’s Fate made it win number two when scoring a half length win over 1200m on Thursday.

Bred by Blue Sky Thoroughbreds, Kileigh’s Fate is out of the Go Deputy mare Kileigh.

Trained, like his sire, by Dennis Drier, Proud Master provided his sire with a double when storming home to a one and a half length win in the eighth and final race at Greyville on Thursday. The lightly raced three-year-old, and winner of two of just six starts, was bred by Clifton Stud.

South Africa’s second Leading Sire by stakes last season, and sire of impressive recent G3 World Sports Betting Variety Club Mile winner Gem King, Master Of My Fate had yearlings make up to R625 000 on the first day of this year’s National Yearling Sale.
